Psychiatric Evaluation & Treatment
Dr. Turner provides each new patient with a comprehensive 90 minute evaluation reviewing medical, psychiatric, and developmental histories so that a targeted treatment plan can be developed. Patients have the option to participate in either medication management treatment, therapy, or a combined approach. Forensic and disability evaluations are not currently offered.
Dr. Turner has experience using evidence based treatments to treat a range of mental health concerns. She offers both 30 minute and 50 minute medication management sessions. She can also work with your current therapist or primary care doctor to develop a treatment plan. She uses medications thoughtfully and appropriately. Due to government regulations requiring in person appointments to obtain controlled substance prescriptions, Dr. Turner does not prescribe medications such as Adderall, Ambien or Xanax. She works with her patients to safely treat their mental health concerns with other (non controlled) medications and behavioral changes.

Dr. Turner uses techniques from evidence-based behavioral interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Sessions are offered weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, depending on the patient’s needs.
Dr. Turner treats patients ages 18-65. Patients must reside in Rhode Island or Florida at the time of the appointment. Sessions are currently held from the comfort of your own home or office, via a secure telehealth platform.
Dr. Turner is out of network with all insurance providers.
